Access Able Ltd

4.5(78 reviews)·Bristol

Access Able Ltd holds a 4.5 rating from 78 Google reviews. Staff member Bob and colleagues are praised for helpful, knowledgeable service across riser recliner chairs, mobility scooters and stairlifts, with reviewers noting fast delivery, neat and tidy fitting work, and same-day wheelchair repairs at reasonable cost. A smaller number of reviews describe slow resolution of a wheelchair battery fault and one dispute over a Section 75 claim, along with an isolated complaint about a staff interaction, so it may be worth confirming after-sales support expectations upfront for larger purchases.

What a fantastic company. Needed a riser recliner at very short notice, and they went out of their way to help and provide what we needed. Really fast delivery and friendly helpful delivery drivers who couldnt do enough to make sure everything was installed and working correctly. Fantastic quality, really comfortable chair. Thank you to Bob and his team for great service!

I received excellent customer service from access able. I spoke to them late on a friday and they were able to accommodate me on the monday, even dealing with my enquiry over the weekend (when they were not ooen). The scooter they provided was perfect (light weight, came apart easy and fitted in our boot). I would highly recommend access able.

This was my first visit to 'Access Able' & I found them most helpful, knowledgeable, and considerate, particularly, Bob & another young member of staff. It was a joy to visit them. David Treasure

Sadly I have not had a good experience with this company. I bought a wheelchair that stopped working. Had it fixed. The battery kept falling out every time I went up and down the curb so I did a section 75. I’m still in the process of it 3 1/2 months later as they keep avoiding trying to give me a refund I was told by the bank to take it back which I did they have asked me to come and collect it now it’s been fixed. I do not want to go and collect it when I have been harassed and threatened to give them the money back that I don’t have because it’s still with the Bank I don’t feel comfortable using this company at all as they are not very polite no understanding of peoples disabilities or bereavement as I am going through at the moment they keep pestering me with emails phone calls when I’ve been told by my bank to leave it with them until the end of December I can’t believe this has been going on so long. All I want to do is get a refund so I can buy the scooter I wanted to get… At the moment I am trying to use my walker which is a complete nightmare . As my health is so bad at the moment all they care about is the money when they have the wheelchair back I’m the one that that’s out of pocket!! Can I say they’re all lovely and friendly to start with until you want a refund… Let’s pray everybody else’s items don’t go faulty. I even bought a four year warranty on top and an extra battery….. but sadly, they have scared me to A point that I would not want to use them again. I have installed cameras around my house I say, stated in one of the letters that you’re going to pay me a visit…. They deny that they’ve sent me threatening letters, but I have proof they have. I can post them on here but I didn’t feel the need to. I have forwarded everything onto the Bank which I was instructed to do. I even filmed me dropping off my wheelchair because the Bank instructed me to do so so I have done nothing that I wasn’t supposed to do. As I am dyslexic, I had someone from citizens advice of bureau read the letters and they have class them has passive aggressive and threatening. As I am autistic, these are not my words and I didn’t know what they meant until I looked them up.. against them plus I’d like to remind them that they have the wheelchair and I have no money back. I have not had any money so they can stop asking me for something that I have not received.

I found the owner and one other member of staff is fantastic BUT unfortunately for this shop an employee called MARK which have not got customer skills have left me outside in a electric wheelchair because he said that ABLE ACCESS don't deal with the mobility scheme which allows you to have a 8mph from your Pip allowance I at to get all my information and give it to them to go forward and hire a scooter but after careful consideration of the way MARK had treated a very ill disabled person I am going out and buying a brand new scooter all I can say to the manager is that if MARK keeps talking and giving customers abuse then I think the shop will go down hill

This is a traditional business with a great service ethic. The guys in the shop are always helpful. They are very knowledgeable so you can buy from here confident in their service and sales ability is based on your needs not what gets commission.
