4.1 / 5 · 30 totalMore than happy with my experience with this mobility shop, the staff are welcoming and very helpful. Very pleased with my scooter services, my scooter can be collected from home and returned.
Do not buy from here. Rude staff and no return policy. I asked if I could take a swivel cushion home to try and was told I could, however upon attempting to return it I was told no refunds at all. Imagine buying a large item of a substantial cost and changing your mind to be told that you couldn’t have a refund. Shop elsewhere
James was so helpful one of our guests had forgotten his invalid mobile chair key & James went above & beyond & replaced it, thank you . Gaie, the Star Hotel.
I took my second hand electric wheelchair in for a service back in September as my batteries weren't lasting. I took my chairs charger in as I believed that could have been the issue as it was a replacement charger that the 1st owner gave me. The engineer looked at the charger and assured me that it was the correct charger. Later that day the he called me back to say that the problem was my cheap batteries so suggested buying new ones from them and instead of charging for a full service, I was only charged for a battery check, which I was happy with. Less than 2 months later my batteries were failing and I couldn't go more than a mile down the road. I booked my chair in to be looked at again as the batteries had a one year warranty. When I arrived (3/11/14) this time I saw the lady that is in the shop, who confused me for someone else who wanted to modify her mobility chair to go faster. Well that isn't me, if I wanted to go faster I would have brought a road mobility scooter instead. I explained the issue about the chair and again mentioned the charger. Waited a couple of days for the chair to be looked at again and got a call on 15/11 to say the something is draining my batteries and that he hadn't got the time to find out why. He was very abrupt on the phone and I got the impression that he didn't want anything to do with fixing the chair. He told me that it would probably cost way more to fix the chair than it is worth and that I can go out and get another for £500. He didn't give me any options apart from replacing the batteries under warranty but saying that they probably won't last as he didn't know what was causing the issue. He was quite off with me. I was very upset after that call. I collected the chair and went to another mobility shop who took one look at my chair and charger, and told me my charger was for lithium batteries and not the batteries that this chair uses and therefore the charger is killing them. I don't think I can trust Care and Mobility again, for not noticing that type of problem even though I had a feeling it was this and emphasized it. Really disappointed and angry ☹️ Chantelle
Extremely helpful. The lady in the shop was most helpful, knowledgeable and honest, demonstrating such a high degree of integrity whilst the gentleman in the shop was realistic and could not have been more supportive and helpful. Whilst these two members of staff remain in the shop, you will find no better assistance and support.
James was extremely helpful when my father's mobility scooter developed a fault. From a photo he was able to order a part, I could easily pay over the phone and within a week he was able to attend my father's address and fix the problem, along with bringing from the shop a replacement cover I had also purchased. My father was very impressed with the friendly manner and efficiency. He's pleased to now have his freedom! James was able to call me after the job and let me know exactly what he found and kept me in the loop. Would highly recommend and certainly the 'go-to' place we will use again. Many thanks!
Purchased a wheelchair in preparation for a transatlantic crossing. James was extremely kind and helpful, we worked through details via email. Would highly recommend, personalized and knowledgeable service was excellent.
