Unfortunately it has been necessary to call on your services three times to repair my stairlift Chris the engineer has attended on each occasion, one of these being at 10 pm. I found him to be super efficient, extremely polite with a sense of humour which I thank him for, an excellent service.

Very Disappointing Experience. I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with this company. They were booked to carry out a service on my very elderly mother’s stairlift. From the outset, the pricing felt high – a basic call-out charge of £275 – but due to the lack of competition in the Amersham area, we proceeded. We were also informed in advance that costs could rise to around £545 if common faulty parts needed replacing. However, during the visit, the technician contacted my brother (who had arranged the appointment) to authorise an additional part replacement – bringing the total to an astonishing £1,100. My brother was busy at the time and felt pressured into making a decision on the spot. It's important to note that both he and I have power of attorney for our mother. Shocked by the final cost, I emailed the company asking for an itemised breakdown of the components replaced. After several exchanges, they flat-out refused to provide the information I requested. This is both unreasonable and deeply concerning. We’re not talking about a sensitive legal or medical issue – just a stairlift repair. For the price charged, transparency should be a given. Given the high cost, the lack of clear communication, and their refusal to provide basic details about the work carried out, I would never use this company again. I would urge others to approach with caution, particularly if you are arranging services on behalf of an elderly or vulnerable family member.

This was the first time I have used mk stairlifts and I was very pleased with the service that they provided, especially having been let down twice by the manufacturer who couldn't be bothered to turn up for booked appointments. Having rung up and arranged an appointment for a week later with a hour window the engineer was on time and when he had finished the service he then showed me extra bits that I should have been shown when it was fitted. If I was looking now for a stair lift I would definitely recommend this company, excellent, thanks.
