Good job found issue and sorted quick
Base lifts were very professional when attending our site to look at our lift which was not working. They found the cause of the problem but due to funding we were not able to carry out remedial repairs to the lift.
We engaged this company to diagnose and repair a stairlift for elderly parents. Two visits were carried out and parts were fitted, but the lift remained non-functional. We were then advised that further significant work would be required at additional cost. At that point, given the uncertainty and escalating costs, we returned to the original installer. The lift was subsequently restored to working order through a relatively low-cost fix and has been working reliably since. From our perspective, the experience was frustrating. Communication remained focused on work completed and invoices raised, rather than on reaching a working outcome. I appreciate that this type of work can be complex, but based on our experience I would recommend ensuring clarity on diagnosis, likely outcomes, and potential cost escalation before proceeding with repairs.
