Tried twice to ask for an inner tube for my father's mobility scooter and both times was informed that I would hear from them that afternoon. On the third occasion, having heard nothing, I was told they were short staffed and out doing maintenance. In the meantime my father is unable to be "mobile". I understand staffing issues re holidays etc but would have appreciated being told that I would have to wait on the first occasion I called, as I could have sourced an inner tube from elsewhere. Having now done that, but it means my father cannot go out at all this week! After sales service is more important than sales and as my father-in-law requires a scooter he will be going across the road to Care Co. The man I spoke today wasn't even attempting to be apologetic for not getting back to me either yesterday or Monday. Very disappointing

My wife has Primary Progressive MS and in February this year Bewick Mobility fitted a front passenger swivel seat that supports her to transfer from her wheelchair to the car. At every stage of the adaptation being fitted, the Bewick team kept us informed of the progress and advised us of ongoing alterations that better support my wife’s disability. Last week, late on a Friday afternoon, the seat developed a slight fault, so I immediately contacted David Burns and his team at Bewick Mobility for advice and support. Within an hour David & his workshop crew contacted me, we discussed various options and confirmed that his team would collect the car on Monday morning, investigate the issue and rectify the fault. Brian arrived on Monday morning, completed a few tests on the seat, then took the car direct to the Bewick workshop. The seat had developed a minor programmed Memory issue which was corrected immediately by Matt (the workshop Guru) & the car was returned to us in less than 48hrs. I should point out that we live on the West coast of Cumbria not Tyne and Wear, so once again truly amazing service & teamwork from the whole team. Thank you all so much, fantastic customer service, professionalism and great team of people who care… well done

Was fixin go look at scooters for the missus end last week but as i turned up outside I sat watched one geezer in uniform having right go at a man and his wife. Personally talked to me like that I'd have done more then walk away and have a rant. The fella had patience of a saint. Think i will shop elsewhere. Was a little entertainment for the day but not the place for me.

My first time at Bewick Mobility. What great people. I was looking for a new wheelchair and having my hoist removed from my old car to go into my new one. I was helped by David Burns. I did not feel rushed into anything. I would say he wanted to be absolutely certain that my needs were met. I went in with an idea of what I had seen on line and he, very kindly, suggested several alternatives which would suit my needs more. He even informed me of attachments I could get to the wheelchair. I chose one David recommended. I would certainly recommend Bewick Mobility mostly for their fantastic customer service and huge choice of mobility aids, wheelchairs and scooters.

I’ve never normally had a problem with the many cars I’ve had and hand controls fitted but I’m awaiting my new car I’ve driven since I was 16 now 52 with the same push pull accelerator and ball on the wheel and very happy with this but today gets a phone-call going through my adaptions then the person then suggested this new device electronic accelerator I think he said only £40 which I explained don’t have he then continued laughing at me over the phone because A I didn’t want this and B made a joke saying it’s harder getting me down to look at this device which I still didn’t want I was going to explain my social anxiety but as he kept laughing I just wanted to get off the phone. Poor start to my new car 🚗

Just like to say thank you. Who served my mother today. She was so helpful and patient while she made her purchase. No pressure. Just kindness and patience. If she needs anything in future we'll go there after the service from other competitors

Absolutely disgusting. I had a Milford hoist fitted to the car by Bewick mobility for my husband who was wheelchair bound. When I needed it removed as my husband sadly died I contacted them. Kevin told me it would take about 1.5 days and the daily rate was £500! He said it was very complicated. All I can say is they are rip off merchants feeding off people’s disability. Update for Kevin. Autochair took out the hoist. It took 40 minutes! Update for the owner. I was not quoted £500. I was told the car would be needed for 1.5 days at a cost of £500 per day. The people from autochair returned the car back to original condition. They repaired the carpet and plugged the holes to prevent water getting in.
