Castle Comfort Stairlifts Ltd

Castle Comfort Stairlifts Ltd is a stairlift supplier and installer based in Glasgow, with 25 years of experience in the mobility products and stairlifts business. The company was founded when its founder was sourcing a stairlift for his own mother. It supplies and services stairlifts across the whole of Scotland and the Highlands, and installs wheelchair platform lifts and outdoor lifts in addition to stairlifts. It can quote for goods lifts for public buildings, commercial wheelchair platforms, walkways and escalators.

The first year's annual service is included for each customer, and installations are overseen by a senior member of management. The company was featured on BBC News for arranging a rapid free installation for a couple whose social services grant was delayed, and it can liaise with social services regarding access to equipment. A minimum gap of 27 inches on the stairs is required for stairlift installation. The company offers free surveys and written quotes.

Families seeking a stairlift for an elderly parent or relative are central to the feedback for this Glasgow specialist, where the emphasis falls on informed guidance and unhurried decision-making. Customers describe sending photographs of their staircase and landings, then leaving the practical arrangements to the company once a choice had been agreed, with installation dates and times confirmed without difficulty. Keith receives frequent praise by name, credited with swift responses, prompt quotations and persistence when a lift needed repairing, including one occasion where faults traced to the customer's side were resolved without delay.

Speed of fitting recurs across the accounts, with installations completed within days of agreement and engineers arriving when expected. The handling of wider matters also features strongly: queries answered before and after fitting, and an Acorn lift removed at no charge following a bereavement. Advice on suitable equipment is described as informative and straightforward, with one family noting how a properly specified lift restored an elderly user's ability to move between floors independently. The manner of the team, together with careful explanations and consideration in the home, rounds off the picture.
