What customers say

Based on genuine customer reviews

York customers relying on Medequip Community Equipment Service report a service that splits sharply between the people who arrive at the door and the process that precedes them. Deliveries and installations attract warm words, with Tibor singled out repeatedly for going out of his way to bring essential items, explaining equipment in detail and treating householders with respect. Reviewers also name Tom Boyle, who paid for petrol when a customer was stranded, and a driver whose patience and consideration at a charging point left a lasting impression, while technicians working inside homes are described as polite and courteous.

The recurring complaint concerns first contact by telephone, where callers say they were not asked to confirm their identity and felt details were shared too freely. One thing mentioned again and again is equipment arriving without any explanation and arranged collections that did not take place on three separate dates, forcing people to remain at home. A further account describes a driver damaging grass and responding poorly when challenged. Where the service works well, it is the delivery staff who carry it.

Terrible delivery service. Says 5-7 days, more like 3-4 weeks and still haven’t received it.

1156am , at Rawcliffe Road bp Pulse, Goole, one of the Mequip guys showed a whole of patience and understanding while he was charging his work van and was blocked in We appreciate such human beings, who are kind and considerate to those around them. Gives us confidence that they also apply themselves in such a considerate manner outside of work We had to sound our horn to get his attention , so he could see us clap hands for him I was well impressed, as someone who works with clients that have Mediquip staff enter their homes on a daily basis Well done Sir for representing your company in positive light

I found the delivery and collection drivers to be friendly and helpful but each time I have contacted the office no one answers for ages and then they are abrupt and unhelpful verging on rude . They will not give any indication as to whether they will call am or pm , be prepared to be waiting when using this service

Once again we have been called to say the equipment we need will be delivered. No one came we were told it would come the following day. The driver has just been to say it's not been put on his van so we have waited in for a second day for nothing. I've just telephoned to be told by the person on the other end that he needs to send an email to warehouse to see if they have got it. We have waited weeks and if you haven't got it why did you ring to me to arrange delivery? Terrible service for disabled customers who are desperate for this equipment.

The person that calls you to arrange somebody to come to your home really needs to go and learn how to talk to people over a phone. He called me didn’t even ask who I was just said he wants to make an appointment for an engineer to come to my house, he gave my address to somebody on the phone he didn’t know who was.He could’ve been talking to anybody he would not know because he did not ask me talk about confidentiality. What a joke.

I, and my 2 year old granddaughter, were stranded at a petrol station. I had forgotten my purse and phone. Tom Boyle, one of the Medquip staff, who was there at the payment counter, stepped up and paid for my petrol. What a star, thank you so much. I was completelt out of petrol, so he really saved the day.We had never met before, but he was kind enough to help a stranger. I Thank you Tom. 😇
