But has a good selection of products, including Scooters, Rise and Recline Chairs, and lots of other Disability Aids. Rise and Recline Chairs had a starting price of £249 for a single motor chair, they have Dual Motor Chairs too, but obviously increase in price. We ended up buying a Single Motor slightly wider than the £249 chair, at the price of £549. The only problem to me was they only deliver within a 30 mile raidius, which was no good to us. Lucky enough I have a Vauxhall Zafira (7 seater and it easily fitted in the back of the car). The shop assistant was more than willing to take the chair apart that we wanted to buy and help carry and put it in the car. The other problem is if I have any issues with the product, they would be unable to come out to me to repair or fix it, due to their 30mile radius. I would have to take it back personally after booking it in over the phone, so I was informed.
Poor customer service and are very rude espically to someone who already struggles with social situations and who is autistic! Not very friendly at all! There's also a store in thatcham if you have to use able world at all! Never been there myself though so dont know how there customer services is! This only reflects the Reading Store! Also leave goods out in the Rain and expect people to purchase these after they been water logged!
Very nice, helpful knowledgeable staff, thank you
The Staff here are very rude! I will be naming them as Martin and Judith! As an autistic person myself I found both of them disgusting. The two staff members that you need to look out for is Martin and judith with their despicable and rude behaviour! They should both be under investigation from their despicable behavior. DO NOT EVER TRUST ABLEWORLD!
I have just acquired a mobility scooter and needed new batteries I went and Martin changed the batteries and told me all about the scooter very good experience
Very dissapointed following a visit for a stairlift. Family member in need of an op so hoping a stairlift is not needed in the future after the op which will be in the next 3 months. Prompted to call following a leaflet showing reasonable prices reconditioned. ‘Salesman’ arrived far too early. I was working at home and in a planned meeting. We told them this when arranging the booking. After he measured our very straight staircase I asked quickly for a guide price (thinking this would be somewhere near the price on the leaflet. First price offered was for a new, permanent stairlift, £3k but could offer it for £2k. No where near the £1,300 on the leaflet. Reconditioned quoted £600 over the leaflet price “ but you don’t get the warranty with that one”. AND would have to see what we have in the area. Renting, higher deposit and payments that the leaflet expectation would have us believe. Ableworld appear to send leaflets with prices that cannot/would not intend to match. I felt pressured into the most expensive option. Overall, poor experience and lack of trust means I would be reluctant to buy from this country
Helpful staff, I enquired about a mobility scooter and they were helpful. Was surprised they had one ready in stock to go. In the end I didn’t purchase as I’ve changed my mind about having a new one.
