Berkshire Stairlifts

Berkshire Stairlifts is a family-run, local business based in Reading. Senior team members have been involved in the mobility industry since 1992, and the company has over 25 years of experience. It is an independent supplier, not tied to one manufacturer. All stairlifts are fitted and maintained by the company's own engineers, with no third-party contractors. Engineers are fully qualified specialists in stairlift installation, servicing, and repairs. The company is fully insured with £5 million public liability cover.

The first annual service is free when installing a new stairlift. Stairlift rentals are offered with all maintenance, servicing, and callouts included for the rental duration. An emergency callout service guarantees an engineer on site within 3 hours. The company serves an area within an hour's drive of Reading, covering parts of Berkshire, Wiltshire, Oxfordshire, and Hampshire. It supplies and installs stairlifts, and also offers repairs, servicing, and stairlift battery supply and testing.

Berkshire Stairlifts holds a 4.7 rating from 99 reviews. Reviewers frequently single out engineer Randy for fast, tidy installations with clear explanations, alongside David for punctual, no-quibble removals and fittings on tricky or narrow staircases.

Customers describe quick turnarounds — quotes given one day and stairlifts fitted within days — competitive pricing on reconditioned units, and a low-pressure approach with engineers accommodating specific requests such as retaining an existing bannister. The reviews are uniformly positive with no recurring concerns noted.
