I rang and was given a ballpark figure of £6.000 - that’s an awful lot of add ons. Fitted by another company with all upgrades and add ons for £5,200.
Previously had a stair lift fitted from handicare, in the 11 months it was in it broke down more than 14 times was completely replaced 3 times and still broke down every couple of weeks even after sending their most senior ‘engineer’ visited… it broke down 2 days later again! Now it’s been replaced with a stannah fitted by Chris and Phil-ip from Dolphin stairlifts. They were incredibly well-mannered and professional throughout our interaction, work efficiently - old lift was taken out and replaced in less than 2 hours and hasn’t had a single fault. If you’re applying for a disabled facilities grant do not accept a lift from handicare. Tell the council you will only accept one from a competent company like dolphin, not handicare! Unless you enjoy spending hours on the phone, days waiting for someone to come and fix something that shouldn’t be broken and like to carry your loved ones up and down the stairs.
Absolutely first class service every time we have needed to use Dolphin Stairlifts for my 90 year old mum. Once again today was the same! Thank you :) Jane Broadhead
