Spring Chicken

We purchased my electric folding Freedom Chair from Spring Chicken about six years ago. Not only did I have a wonderful demonstrator come to my home to show it to me in great detail, I received excellent customer care throughout the whole process. My Freedom Chair is a life saver, I could not be without it. The Freedom Chair is worth every penny & folds as more easily than a child’s pram. It fits into the smallest of car boots, ships well on aeroplanes (even long distance), is super sturdy & solid - yet lighter weight than most electric chairs, it’s safe & comfortable, has the capacity for 3 small, lightweight (yet heavy duty) batteries & I just adore it! In 6 years, I have not had a single issue with my Freedom Chair - thank you, Spring Chicken🤍

Very good service from start to finish. Harli was very knowledgeable on the phone and Mike who came to demonstrate an electric for my elderly mother was very considerate, answered all my questions and also showed great expertise. A credit to the company.

We had a wonderful experience purchasing the Joy Rider electric wheelchair for my 90 year old mother. Chris our demonstrator was kind and patient though out the time he was with us and gave my mum the confidence to try the chair and succeed never having used a joy stick in her life!! The actual chair itself is amazing and splits into two parts for lifting into the car. The process of taking it apart is very straight forward and it does not take up too much boot space. Both parts are under 14 kilos and my 95 year old dad had no problem lifting it into his car. You can purchase operator controls separately (£300) which then means the person pushing the chair is using the electric to push rather than brute strength. We purchased the chair off Chris on the day and they are doing a new thing whereby they carry stock of the chair (boxed and brand new) on the demonstrator's van and the chair is left with you if the payment has passed. This is ideal as Mum is really keen to use it and can remember what to do without any time delay. All in all the process was totally efficient and kind, we felt we were getting what we needed without any pressure at all and I can't wait for my parents being able to expand their horizons once again. Thank you Chris and Tom for making the experience so pleasant and I totally recommend this company..

Two different electric wheelchairs were demonstrated to us today, in our own home. This was a very friendly and informative and thorough demonstration and the Freedom chair will be perfect for my husbands needs. Thanks to Spring Chicken, and Mike Ruddick for this help.

I originally bought my scooter from Spring Chicken just over 2 years ago and they were so helpful and I knew I'd made the right decision buying it. Recently I had a fault on it (it wouldn't fold down). They knew how important the scooter is to me in helping with my mobility and nothing was too much trouble. They travelled up from Oxford to Nottingham to collect it and left me with a replacement until I got mine back. I'm absolutely delighted with the service I received. Everyone I spoke to was really helpful and the price charged was very fair and a lot less than I thought it would be. I would highly recommend Spring Chicken as they seem to genuinely care about their customers' needs, so it's 11/10 from me ... and thank you again for a great service.

The chap that came out to see us and do the demonstration was superb. Very friendly and didn't push sales etc. My only issue was them not having one of the wheelchair models that I inquired about. Apparently they have sold out, which wasn't said on the phone . Shame as this chair could be the one that's more suited to my wife's needs.

Nick arrived on time, always a good start! He was a very pleasant, kind helpful and knowledgable man, he spent all the time we needed not only on the Freedom Power Chair but also proved to be knowledgeable on vehicle hoists etc. The transaction, by phone to Spring Chicken proved straight forward and all done whilst Nick was with us. Thank you.
