The British Mobility Project

Saleem and The British Mobility Project saved my vacation! As a paraplegic visiting London from America, one of the front wheels on my wheelchair broke on a cobblestone. I was devastated and I had no idea what to do. I started calling evey wheelchair repair shop and rental shops all over London. Most were too busy to help with a repair, and the rentals were all out due to this being the busiest season. In tears I thought I would have to change our tickets and go home after only being here for three days. And then Saleem saved the day! I told him my story and he worked very hard to find a wheelchair for me. He even brought it to my hotel! Unfortunately, the next morning I realized that one of the tires was flat. There I was with two broken wheelchairs again thinking that would be the end of our trip. I contacted Saleem again on a Saturday, and even though he was 120 miles away, probably trying to have a nice weekend with his family, when I told him my story, he dropped everything to find a solution for me. And because there were no more rentals available, HE BOUGHT A BRAND NEW CHAIR AND DROVE THE 120 MILES BACK TO MY HOTEL TO DELIVER IT TO ME! I was overwhelmed by his kindness and all of his herculean efforts to help me. If anyone finds themselves in need of a mobility device, this is the business to call! Thank you, Saleem. I will never forget you, your kindness and the way you saved our vacation.

An absolute God send!! An answer to our prayers, Saleem to our rescue! Right at the beginning of our holiday, an unfortunate fall put me in emergency for X-rays. Unable to walk or use crutches it was a bleak situation. The hotel only offered online rental websites for walkers or wheelchairs with 24hr delivery. Plus stores were closed on Sunday. Things just weren’t working out. But a random search online sent me to British Mobility Project. Soon after I was talking to Saleem. He had a wheelchair at our hotel within 3 hours!! Definitely a man with a caring heart. His dedication to helping others in need is outstanding. A silver lining to a dark cloud. We cannot begin to thank BMP enough. It truly changed the remaining days before we flew back home.

On a school trip the wheelchair of one of our students broke and within 2 hours the British Mobility Project provided us with a new and very reasonably priced one. We're amazed by the excellent service and quick and efficient communication. We talked to Saleem on the phone and he was very accommodating and kind. Making arrangements for the delivery and pick-up of the chair was a breeze. Highly recommended if you ever find yourself in need of mobility aids.

We first met Saleem in 2021, the encounter changed my life. Saleem astounded us again when he organized a disco for our wedding 29/04/2023. We can't thank this man enough. We are eternally greatful to the British Mobility Project.
