JK Mobility Stairlifts Limited

JK Mobility Stairlifts Limited is a family-run business that has been operating for over 13 years. Its founder is a qualified stairlift engineer who worked for Stannah Lifts for almost 27 years. The business works with B & NES, Care & Repair, Dorothy House and Age Concern.

Its service area includes Bristol, Bath, Cheltenham, Somerset, Stroud, Gloucester, Swindon, Wiltshire, South West and Wales. The company supplies, installs, rents, repairs and maintains stairlifts, including new, reconditioned and second-hand models, and offers re-installation and removal services.

Bristol customers frequently highlight the polite and professional manner of Ian and John, who are named repeatedly for explaining each stage of a stairlift installation clearly. Several reviewers describe the service as efficient from initial contact through to fitting, with instructions demonstrated and potential causes of a lift stopping covered in detail. Reliable punctuality stands out, including one account of a follow-up call resolved in under two hours, and another where a replacement stairlift was fitted on a chosen day after prompt attendance and a measured assessment of the stairs without any pressure to buy.

Reviewers mention competitive pricing and honest quotes, alongside careful removal of a no-longer-needed stairlift carried out with no mess. Word-of-mouth recommendations from neighbours and friends come up often, and the effect on family life is a recurring theme, with a chairlift described as transforming daily routines for parents and easing the burden on relatives. Staff friendliness and a willingness to talk through options run through the feedback, and the installations are consistently described as tidy and well explained.
