Where do I start, went into the Gateshead shop to buy a power chair for my Sister with my other sister and brother inlaw the guy that served us said he didnt normally work on sales he was the driver who delivered the stuff. The chair we bought was faulted on the back control, it was an intermittent fault, he said we could take it but if we weren't happy we could change it. He wrote this on the invoice and also wrote on his job list to pick up new one on Monday from Sunderland shop as the Gateshead one didn't have any more. Roll on Monday, I phoned 9am and a guy answered, I said I had bought a chair Saturday and I wasn't happy with back control, he then said he couldn't give us a new one as the one we had taken was classed as used he could change the control on the back as there was another chair with one back control that hadn't been fitted, strange as on Saturday he said there were no more of the same chair on the floor! The guys attitude was unexceptable and I asked to speak to a manger he said there was no one in and said he would get someone to ring me back Tuesday, I said hold on that's unexceptable I need the chair for Tuesday, after all this he then said he was the guy that sold us the chair, WOW, I said why didn't you say that at the beginning, I was in disbelief he still denied saying that we could have a new chair even though he had written it down on invoice and his notes to pick up new chair from Sunderland. I ended the call, I couldn't talk to him any more saying that I was going to come to the shop. I went straight down to shop with the chair, and asked if there was any managers in, they then said the owner is in! I tried to explain the situation to the owner i was then told the guy I was complaining about was a good guy, I had no chance to put my story across, he then said get her a new one, the chair I was told was in shop was not there, they then went on to ring Sunderland and they had one, they said they would get It picked up and brought to Gateshead at this point I had had enough, I am going through terminal cancer and this was stressing me out so much. I said I will go and pick it up they had totally lost my trust in what they were saying. Got to Sunderland shop, it was like a different company the lady and gentlemen (sorry I can't remember there names) that were there said they were expecting us, the chair was ready, it came with extra bits that weren't given to us for the first chair, they did full demo of the chair. They were very professional and empathetic. Most people I assume who go into mobility shops are vulnerable and to be treated like this is an absolute disgrace. Yes I got a new chair for my sister but what i had to go through to get this was a disgrace, the owner should be ashamed of himself and certain members of staff. Thank god for the staff at Sunderland.

Honestly, if I could give 0 stars I would. My 91 year old dad has had to give up driving and went to this bunch of time wasters to get a road going scooter via motability and they've pissed him about for months trying to get said scooter through them. They then tell him that they've never had the scooter he wants in the showroom even through I've got a photo of it in their showroom. He agreed to a different model in a different colour and they can't even give him a lead time. After following my advice, he cancelled the order and was given a contact from Motability and he should get his scooter in a few days to a week. Go figure. Please, if you are looking to get a scooter on Motability, avoid this bunch of cowboys like the plague. Be warned!

Really impressed with the Mobility Direct North showroom. It’s well laid out and gives a great chance to see and try products, including adjustable beds. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to help without any pressure. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for an adjustable bed or mobility equipment.

Absolutely outstanding. They collected my power chair, serviced it, fitted new batteries and returned it just as good as new. All of the lads I dealt with were friendly, knowledgeable and i wasnt pressured into buying any extras. I couldn't be happier.

Outstanding and friendly service - went in today to purchase a lightweight wheelchair for my nana. The salesman could not have been more helpful showing me various designs starting off with the cheapest model. He listened to my needs and advised accordingly. Could not thank him enough I left with a perfect wheelchair. Thank you so much.
