I have been looking for a mobility scooter for a couple of months now. There is a lot of choice out there for sure. I visited a number of mobility shops with various brands of mobility scooters. I have rheumatoid arthritis so the different types of controls and hand grips is really important. I visited the Hull shop where I was helped by Carl. He explained in depth the multiple types of scooters and their specific controls. He suggested the pride compact because it has a cruise control, and that would ease the pains in my hands. Carl has a very nice manner and nothing was too much trouble to explain even if I probably asked some obvious questions. I had a test drive and liked the comfort and stability of the scooter. I was impressed by the whole experience especially Carls professionalism and attention to detail . I placed my order for the Pride compact and can’t wait to gain my freedom again. Thanks Carl.
About 18 months ago I bought a wheelchair from Independent Mobility - not necessarily because they had the best range (I don't remember), but because they were by far the friendliest, most knowledgeable and most helpful. I took it in for servicing and a couple of bits and pieces in the first year, then moved to Nottingham. I came back over to get the tyres replaced and am now looking to get my next wheelchair from them too. I can highly recommend them.
I needed a mobility scooter so contacted Independent Mobility Hull. Carl came out to my home the very next day and brought me a range of scooters to test ride. From making the initial phone call and speaking to lovely Laura who was so friendly and informative on the phone, to Carl bringing a variety of scooters out of the van for me to try I couldn’t be happier. I can’t fault the service I have received. My mum has also used Independent Mobility for many years. If you are looking for a mobility scooter for an extremely competitive price then contact Independent Mobility first. You will be looked after from start to finish.
We would like to say a big thank you to Susan for her assistance this morning when my wife and I visited Hutton Cranswick in the hope of buying a wheelchair. We wanted one that could be pushed rather than self-navigated by controls. Susan listened to what we had to say and thankfully there was wheelchair in stock that met our needs completely. Susan took time to show us everything we needed to know about using it. We tried it out, including folding it up and putting it in the car.Throughout our visit Susan was extremely patient and answered all our questions. She was both friendly and professional. It was very refreshing not to feel rushed or pressurised at any stage. She is a credit to Independent Mobility Hutton Cranswick and we can't thank her enough.
I finally persuaded my dad to have a look at some scooters. We popped into Independent Mobility on Witham in Hull just to have a little look & ended up buying one! They have a wide range of scooters very reasonably priced. We needed a boot one to fit in the car. Phil was so patient & went above & beyond to help us. He explained everything really well showing us how to take it to pieces to get in the car & put it back together again. He suggested my dad had a trial run outside just to get used to the slopes on the pavement which was really useful. Thankyou Phil for your patience & amazing service.
Laura was an absolute life saver. Needed to hire a wheelchair as my mum visited and forgot to bring her scooter. Even though they don’t do this anymore, Laura pulled some magic for us and was able to let us use one they had in the back. She went above and beyond to help us take mum out for the day, which happened to be a great day. Laura was polite and professional and an absolute super hero. Thank you so much for your amazing service. Hopefully we’ll be back soon to buy a more permanent wheelchair for next time mum visits. Highly recommended. 😃 (Holderness Road store)
We recently purchased a pride GO Go compact Mobility Scooter from Laura at the Hull branch of Independent mobility, this is my wives 4th Scooter and the first time of using Independent as a retailer. We needed a scooter that could be easily transported by car, that had arm rests and driving systems that was comfortable to use by someone with significant arthurites' in the hand and arms and also walking challenges. We found Laura extremely knowledgeable about our options and products that would do the job and relevant costs . What was impressive is the size of the shop in Hull, with plenty of space to test the scooter inside and even outside, ample car parking right next to the entrance. Having bought the Scooter which is ideal for my wives needs I made a mistake with the Scooter I traded in (the wrong one) after few days I contacted Laura and explained my mistake who then to my surprise was happy to correct my error with no additional charge . In short a good range of products, at fair prices, competent staff, great location, plenty of space to test drive
