What customers say

Based on genuine customer reviews

Northampton buyers of mobility scooters and electric bikes repeatedly describe difficulties that emerge after the point of sale, with aftercare emerging as the most common concern in the feedback. Multiple accounts mention equipment arriving in a crate or on a pallet needing assembly, sometimes with chipped paint, flat tyres or missing instructions. When faults appeared, customers describe being referred to local engineers because certain products are no longer serviced, leaving them to organise repairs independently.

Communication is another point raised often, with unsympathetic or unhelpful responses reported when problems were flagged and what buyers felt were slow or evasive reactions to requests for inspection. Pricing also recurs as a source of frustration, with one account describing a quoted figure that rose sharply before purchase. Not all feedback is critical; one buyer praised the personal attention received and singled out Tom from the service team for his concern in resolving an issue, while another found a scooter easy to steer and comfortable over pavements. The pattern that emerges is of transactions that begin smoothly but become difficult when something goes wrong afterwards.

Awful experience. Low quality Taiwan mobility scooter dumped on a pallet/crate on my lawn that needed assembly. The battery life was abysmal. They wriggled at picking up the scooter to check it and so I took it to a local dealer who discovered the batteries had been fitted incorrectly and rubbed against a wheel. Quite nasty people to deal with. Threatened me repeatedly with legal action with a £5000 penalty if I did not take down a negative review. This was some years ago, they haven't changed much looking at the other reviews.

Do not do any business with this company. I bought mobility scooter £1,660,74 it came in a box, unpacked it read instructions, don't work FAULTY. Send emails very quickly as you only have 3 days to report problem. Customers services well if you grace its a brick wall. They refuse any correspondence only emails, days waiting for answers. My mobility scooter was picked up for return by their own delivery firm from my premises arranged by Tara Lawes assistant manager on 25-8-2020 12-15pm. 8 full working days ago. Where is it i keep asking, the damage that could have been caused to it i dread to think Tara Laws dont No. REFUSING MY FULL REFUND also had to pay £100 before she would agree to take it back. When she does find my mobility scooter and she gets her engineer to check it, she said in today's email, she would DISCUSS MY REFUND any and every excuse NOT TO GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK...... STAY AWAY RUN AND KEEP GOING. (Have proof). Dont bother with your apologies just meaningless word. The only thing I want to hear is Date for refund

Poor from start to finish. Firstly I was charged VAT at checkout despite indicating that I was VAT exempt. I was advised that I would be refunded within 14 days. That period has elapsed and I have received no refund. Also, with delivery; I received no indication of when the item would be delivered. I returned from the chemist to find that the item had ben left on my doorstep blocking my door and required the assistance of two neighbours to help remove it.

First experience dealing with Pro Rider, I ordered a NEW electric golf trolley. It turned up on 9th June, it had some damage to the handle & LCD display. I messaged & sent pictures the same day. They took over 1 week to reply. I've since sent 3 more messages, I've sat on hold for over 1 hour over 2 calls & it's still not resolved. Customer service is totally shocking, AVOID at all costs.

Has anyone ever had a reply to an EMail that was sent to PRO RIDER. I made an enquiry by EMail about buying a BreeseS4 scooter from them it appears that they are not intrested. Mike King

Hi. I brought a pro rider e-tourer 2 years ago. The bike is very strong frame has has stood up to my.bulky.size. Im happy with the bike after giving it a good run in as it were. The only reason i gave them 4 star and not a 5 is that the customer has to make own arrangements to send the bike back even if anything goes wrong, even if still under gurentee.

I have no issue with my scooter. It's the back-up service. A simple question regarding how to adjust the seat height (that is not mentioned in the handbook-) required three phone-calls at peak rate, being put on hold for three minutes listening to a worn out music tape. Then eventually being told by an automated recording, that I was Number one in the queue and to expect a call back that never happened. I waited from 9.35am until 10.40am and phoned yet again, leaving my name and number, waited all day and had no response. I eventually found out after a close inspection that a set of "Allen Keys" are required to remove the locking pin on the seat stem. How many disabled pensioners would know this, and happen to have some to hand? Verdict . Poor.
