Very helpful staff members. They were patient when I asked a lot of questions about different products.

Yesterday we completed the order form for my first proper prescription wheelchair, which was very exciting. The customer service I have received from Shire Mobility, so far has honestly been absolutely fantastic! Craig is very knowledgeable when it comes to all the different types of wheelchairs & their specifications & has been extremely helpful. My current wheelchair, that I’ve been using for the last year is not a prescription chair, so I was completely clueless. I had absolutely no idea what type of wheelchair I required for my body & complex medical needs. As I struggled to originally make an appointment, to be able to visit Shire Mobility due to distance and many hospital appointments. Craig offered to come out to my home for an appointment instead, at a time convenient for me, which made things so much easier for me. He brought along with him some demonstration wheelchairs, that I could try out, to get an idea of what type of chair I would like (folding or rigid) & so that I could feel what they were like. Craig explained all the different options very well & gave me a much better understanding of a prescription wheelchair. Once we knew which brand & type of chair I wanted, he got in contact with a rep to see if he could get a demonstration for me to try out & also in a much smaller size as I’m extremely petite. There was a few weeks wait for the demonstration of this particular wheelchair, but this was no fault of Craig’s it was the reps. I was kept informed though by Craig, despite him being very busy. Finally the demonstration chair arrived and it proved to be very worth the wait. Craig arranged to come back out to my home again yesterday, so I could try this chair (very comfortable indeed, I was sat in it over an hour & went for a spin around the house too), he took measurements & we completed the order form. He also allowed my mum to put the wheelchair into our car to check that the size will fit. I am very excited to get my new wheelchair, which hopefully shouldn’t be too long of a wait 🤞so watch this space for a part 2 of this review. I would definitely recommend Shire Mobility if you are new to getting a prescription wheelchair ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Shire Mobility, St James , Northampton ( Stairlift Installation August 2025) After a recommendation from a colleague whose family had recently had a stairlift installed , I contacted the St James branch to discuss options of a stairlift for my parents. I spoke to Sally who was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, and gave information on all options including , rental, refurbished and new stairlifts , and was able to give actual costs of all options . Craig attended to measure up and we were really impressed with his knowledge, professionalism , approachability and his 'no pressure manner' and the time he took to fully explain all options and prices and how quickly our stairlift was booked in to be fitted. Tim attended to install the stairlift was very professional, knowledgeable and had such attention to detail. He carefully explained how all controls worked and also fitted wall brackets for the 2 separate remotes . Genuinely the most customer focussed team of people that dealt with us throughout - We will be recommending Shire Mobility to anyone looking for stairlifts and all other mobility devices

A good mobility shop with staff who are not pushy and take there time and listen to what customers want

10 out 10 always very helpful looked after my wife needs and got what we wanted on the day a scooter that would fit in the car well done they scored another 10 out of 10 fixing my scooter last week February 2025 would highly recommend them

Very efficient service, picked up from home which is so helpful, received a full service report, and from the lovely lady I talked to on the phone to the gentleman who delivered my scooter informative and very polite, would highly recommend

Went there looking for a rollator. Very helpful shop as really knowledgeable about their products. Got what we needed at a good price.
