Stannah Lifts and Stairlifts - Scotland

Stannah Group has been moving people and goods since 1867 and is a family-owned business with over 150 years of lift experience. Stannah Scotland is part of this family-owned business and is managed by Branch Manager David Ferguson. The branch covers Dumfries, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling, Perth, Dundee, Aberdeen, Inverness, Orkney and the Shetland Islands.

It provides stairlifts, passenger lifts, platform lifts, goods and service lifts, moving walkways and escalators. It also services and repairs all lift types from all manufacturers. Customers include West Lothian Council, East Ayrshire Council, Aberdeen Airport, IKEA, Pets at Home, Glasgow City Council, Gordonstoun School, Hanover Scotland and all lifts for Network Rail across Scotland. Stannah Scotland offers standard maintenance contracts and custom service contracts.

Households and organisations across Glasgow relying on Stannah equipment describe consistently positive experiences with the company's servicing and maintenance work. Domestic stairlift and chairlift owners, along with a community venue in Tullibody, highlight how smoothly visits are handled from start to finish. Several reviewers mention that engineers arrive when expected and complete the work quickly, and that faults, including minor ones, are identified and put right efficiently. Praise for named staff recurs, with Scott singled out across more than one visit for being courteous, punctual and skilled.

Communication stands out too, particularly the support received from the office during a difficult period, when a service engineer talked a customer through possible causes after they had tried everything themselves. The manner of the engineers is described as friendly, polite and tidy, with tasks carried out professionally and without fuss. Warranty checks arranged by phone are handled with the same care as routine servicing. A recurring theme is dependable, well-mannered attention that leaves equipment working as it should.
