S M E Stairlifts

S M E Stairlifts is a family-run stairlift supplier and installer with over 20 years of experience in the industry. The company is an authorised dealer for many different stairlift manufacturers, including Brooks and Bison units. It employs Stannah trained engineers, and all staff are NVQ trained. The company does not employ sales people and is fully insured. It offers a free survey and advice. All lifts it installs are guaranteed, including parts and labour.

It offers rental periods from 2 days to 2 years and provides lower cost and reconditioned units. It provides servicing and repairs on all units, with regular contracts available. Its service area includes Manchester, Bury, Blackpool, Stockport, Wigan, Tameside, Preston and Bolton. It was formerly located on Pilsworth Road in Bury and is now at large bespoke premises in Bolton. It supplies and installs curved and straight stairlifts, stairlift rentals, and servicing and repairs.

S M E Stairlifts earns consistent praise for the care and attention brought to each installation and removal, with the process described as straightforward and well handled from start to finish. Named staff members John, David and Jon appear frequently in accounts, thanked for being approachable, polite and knowledgeable, and for putting elderly customers at ease when dealing with the firm directly. A number of reviews mention that work is finished punctually and without fuss, whether fitting a new stairlift, mending one that had stopped working or taking out an unwanted unit.

A fair price is a theme that recurs, alongside clear guidance offered before and after the job, and the sense that faults are dealt with quickly. Neatness and a courteous manner on site come up often, as does the speed with which equipment is supplied and fitted. One account notes that a straight stairlift was installed, while another describes a rental arrangement that covers removal and call-outs. The difference a working stairlift makes to daily life at home emerges clearly, with families relieved that elderly relatives can remain independent.
